To provide a secure and ethical financial service, BANGK is determined to operate within the framework of European regulatory standards, recognised for their rigour when it comes to cryptocurrencies and blockchain.

A flexible, scalable strategy is in place for acquiring the necessary licences now. The aim is to enable the application to be launched quickly with key functionalities, while ensuring full compliance.

Even with an effective strategy, acquiring licences can be time-consuming and require numerous exchanges with regulatory bodies. To gain flexibility, BANGK plans to obtain licences in facilitating jurisdictions as a first step and to form partnerships with entities that are already licensed. In this way, innovation is encouraged without sacrificing compliance.

Some priority licences and approvals for BANGK :

EME - Electronic Money Establishment
  • Authorises the issuing and management of electronic money, which is essential for payment transactions and user account management.

  • Importance : 5/5

  • Status: Application procedures in progress

PSAN reinforced - Digital Asset Service Provider
  • Essential for offering cryptocurrency-related services, including custody and exchange of digital assets.

  • Importance : 5/5

  • Status: Application procedures in progress

IE - Investment Company Licence
  • Necessary to comply with regulations on markets in financial instruments in Europe, covering investment services. This licence is required for the creation, sale and trading of security tokens.

  • Importance : 4/5

  • Status: Under discussion

These licences and authorisations are complementary. They cover a wide range of financial and investment activities offered by BANGK. The order in which they are obtained will allow priority to be given to critical aspects of the project, ensuring a solid basis for its development and regulatory compliance.
